System Test Tourny, finished

As a nice way to kick off next year, we'll be hosting a small tourny in order to thoroughly test the combat systems. That way, we can make sure our system works, as well as provide a bit of exitement for those of you waiting for the forum to be in a workable condition. the rules will be as follows.

1) This is a double elimination tourny

2) Participants may bring 3 ultimate level digimon. X Antibody forms are allowed. Since this tourny is a demo, you can bring ANY 3 valid digimon, regardless of the team your character will use.

3) OHKO moves are, obviously, banned. Cards will be as well, for this particular tourny

4) All players will have their rank  treated as Silver Rank and digimon level treated as Level 11. You'll have 8 Stat points to distribute (14 total dots, 6 base and 8 free). All digimon will then have 9 AP, and two attack options.

5) All teams must be registered in this thread. if we have an odd number, either me or Azure will use the NPC account to even it out.

6) As we haven't implemented the points system yet, this will be a Knock Out tourny, where the goal is to reduce your opponents' HPs to 0

7) As we haven't really implemented equipables yet, each team gets one "Red Potion" to equip, which is a 3 use item that restores 100% HP to the target. use this sparingly, because it's 3 uses for the entire tourny.

The tourny will be on the week of January 4th.

So. that's the end of signups, and onto the tourny! The matchups will be determined as follows!

You will all roll a die, using [ roll="D6"][/roll] (without the first space)

Then, the matchups will be the two highest fighting, then the two lowest fighting, then the winners facing off, Any tied rolls will result in a second roll

Editing your post will re-roll the die, so none of that!

The matchups have been set! Maliik vs myself, and Blake vs NPC. matches will be set up in the Arena section, so please keep a lookout for them! as soon as they're set up, you can proceed as you please. Round 1 is due by the end of Wednesday, and Round 2 is due by the end of Friday. Good luck!

Well, that's the end of the tourny. the results were myself in 1st, Blake in second, Maliik in 3rd, and the NPC account in last.


As far as the purpose of this tourny... well, Specials are getting nerfed now, that's for sure.
